Kidsworld Newsletter April 2024

To all parents/ guardians of Kidsworld,

I hope you are all well.

Finally it’s getting warmer outside and a little bit drier (let’s hope it continues this way). We have a couple of announcements to make, please see below for further information.

Toddlers are Back!!!

8We would like to announce from September 2024, we will be enrolling children from 18 months. We have missed having the toddlers in Kidsworld and super excited to have siblings enrolled sooner than planned. Unfortunately due to ratios, we will be unable to facilitate all children once they turn 18 months and some children will have to wait until 24 months (all down to D.O.B). We have 5 places available for September 2024. We will be offering 5 full days care only. We will require a deposit of €400.00 to secure places. If you are interested in enrolling your child at 18 months, please get in touch.

Opening / Closing Times

A reminder to parents we open from 7:45am and close at 6:00pm.

Children are not insured before/after the opening/closing time.

Website

We’re getting a website!

We are thrilled that we will soon have a website for parents to access policies, menus and newsletters.

We are hoping to have a section for testimonials and asking any parents that would like to give a testimonial to email kidsworld@live.ie.

Graduation

I know, I know we’re not emotionally ready to discuss graduation just yet either.

However like to let parents know graduation will be held on Friday 28th June at 6:00pm.

This will be the last day of the ECCE programme and sadly the last day for some of our graduates.

We hope you can all make it.

Safety Awareness Month

For the month of May, all classes will be discussing the topic of safety. This will include road safety, fire safety and water safety.

The children will be learning the importance of being safe on the way to and from creche, traffic lights colours and visiting the local traffic lights and importance of holding an adults hand when walking.

They will also learn the emerencgy numbers 999 and 112, practice our monthly fire drill and all about the dangers of fire.

Lastly the children will learn about being safe in the water, wearing arm bands when needed and ensuring to always have an adult in the water with them at all times (excluding
bathtime).

National Childcare Scheme

For parents renewing their NCS subsidy recently, you might have seen from September 2024, the subsidy rate increases from €1.40 per hour to €2.14 per hour.

From 1st September 2024 fees will change for all children.

We will be in touch closer to the time with these new fees.

Should you avail of a higher subsidy, please do get in touch and we will calculate your new fee.
